Pimprenelle graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Barnard College at Columbia University where she majored in Theatre and Italian with a focus in acting and translation respectively. She was the 2024 recipient of the Columbia University Bettina Buoncore Salvo Prize for excellence in Italian and the Dasha Amsterdam Epstein Award in Acting. They were born and raised in Eastern Massachusetts to two French parents, and grew up speaking French at home. Pimprenelle has always been drawn to teaching and has spent time working with children from a wide variety of ages in a wide variety of subjects (music, swim, dance, and environmental science). Pimprenelle is an artist dedicated to collaboration, improvisation, and play, a philosophy which she translates into her work as an educator. They are continually inspired by the natural world, laughter, and reconnecting to the senses.
