Jeux D'Rôles: Atelier de théâtre - Theater program for young people and teens

What better way to build speaking confidence with the French language than through a fun and engaging acting class? Jeux D’Rôles is an acting class based on role plays, improvisations, silly acting games, and character work. The classes incorporate games, acting exercises, sense memory work, improvisation, vocal work, and articulation. These exercises are used to explore and create scenes, monologues, and plays. In this safe and supportive environment children are able to grow creatively and strengthen their imagination, focus and self-confidence. This class is taught all in French and is intended for children with French speaking abilities and also complements the work done in Wednesday “Academic French” class. To best accommodate our families, we can arrange for a pick up from the local schools ; to do so, however, we must pick up a minimum of four students from the same school.

Our older daughter S. attends Classes at LLS. She really loves it and comes home joyfully speaking Italian even after just a short bit of time in class each week. It's clear that LLS has tapped into a warm way to connect with the children and immerse the children without just hammering the language over their heads.

Mother to S.
My experience at Language and Laughter Studio started in 2010 when I attended French au lait with my two year old daughter. My son was basically born into the program soon after and they both still attend classes and summer camp at the school today. The fact that they have been able to grow within the studio for 5+ years speaks to the strength of the program. My son went on to attend the Mini-Maternal program for two years which gave him a base in language which has now evolved beyond what I had imagined was possible. The overall learning environment nurtures independence and confidence through creativity. I could not give a higher recommendation.
