Originally from Virginia, Jackie studied French -through dancing classical ballet to attending a public high school French immersion program. She holds a BA in French Language & Literature, a Master’s in Teaching (with dual certification in Elementary and Foreign Language Education) and a Montessori certification. Since moving to Brooklyn in 2011, Jackie has spent fifteen years teaching in NYC Montessori schools, including a hybrid forest school program, and later opened a small Montessori and French in-home childcare program. Her teaching is grounded in respect for young children and supporting natural development, for example, celebrating families’ unique cultures and incorporating multilingualism. She is excited to be offering French immersion to children during the early years of language acquisition. She also enjoys being a mama and the city’s many cultural and green spaces.
