Maeve Ambrose

Maeve’s love for the French language began in middle school, when she discovered the joy of entering another language and another way of seeing the world. She went on to study French and Francophone Studies and English at Fordham University, deepening her understanding of both language and literature.

Her curiosity carried her to France, where she lived in Normandy and Île-de-France for two years, immersing herself in the language, culture, and everyday life. Maeve’s path as an educator has taken many form from teaching swim lessons to working with young children in childcare and elementary schools. Each experience has strengthened her belief in the importance of building trusting relationships and creating meaningful opportunities for children to explore and grow.

Outside of the classroom, Maeve enjoys reading, practicing yoga, and discovering the many museums and cultural treasures of New York City.
